Daniel’s 5K Race

Participants and Sponsors!!

It is time for Daniel's 5k SIXTH ANNUAL race! We enjoy looking back and remembering past events with you all! What a wonderful way to honor and remember Daniel. We look forward to the time spent preparing and 'racing' with you all on Saturday, April 9th. We have moved the race back to a Saturday morning as that has been our best response so far! We were able to keep it in April with the hopes that the weather may be a bit more race friendly! Our course is USATF certified and if a record is set on this course it holds value in ranking nationally. Not all charity races have this honor.

This Race has seen our family through a series of events. In 2006 Daniel ran in this race and completed the race despite being in the middle of a series of treatments. Less than 4 months later he completed the “race of life” and received the highest prize guaranteed by Christ. In 2007, our youngest daughter Abigal, ran the race despite being recently diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia. In 2008 Abigal ran the race in March and later completed treatment. In December of that year she was classified as in remission from Aplastic Anemia! In 2009 the community rallied once again to our side to remedy years of home maintenance neglect. The Extreme Hope Project resulted in a wonderful transformation from a ranch to a two story four bedroom home! 2010 has been an exciting and healthy year for the Myslivecek family! We have been blessed abundantly by the warmth of our new home and by visitors this last year! We are excited to be at a place in life to focus on our community. This too brings much healing and joy!

With your generosity and constant support in the past we have supported some of Daniel's favorite charities; Hunt of a Lifetime, Benefit for Kids, Golisano Children's Hospital, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Camp Good Days, and K-Love. In 2008 we added Adirondack Experience and built a Memorial Garden at Churchville-Chili High School. You will pass the Memorial Garden on the race course! Inspired by the love and commitment of a community coming together to share hope with us the race committee decided last year to support the Matt St. James family. We will continue in these traditions again this year with your help!

The constant support of our community has given us hope and inspired us to continue to look for ways to give back! In giving we are each a reminder of God's very real presence in every facet of life. We realize that many families are experiencing tough economic times as well! This makes your efforts all the more meaningful! Thank you for shining hope in such a tough time!
