The 2026 race will support Morgan Mae. Morgan was born at 33 weeks after a rare spontaneous fetomaternal hemorrhage, losing 66% of her blood and developing severe anemia and hydrops fetalis. She was delivered by an emergency C-section and required extensive life-saving treatment, including multiple blood transfusions, intubation, and treatment for fluid around her lungs and heart. After a pulmonary hemorrhage and time on an oscillator, she slowly started to recover.
After 63 days in the NICU, Morgan came home and continues to progress at her own pace. She has since been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and a rare hearing condition, Auditory Neuropathy. Though her future is uncertain, Morgan is resilient and we are determined to giving her the best possible outcome.
